My dress
After trying on at least 8 wedding dresses and without any intention of choosing one or buying one, I left the bridal shop with instructions to come back in April for my first fitting. Lucky that they all come in a standard size 12!
It is so beautiful.
So beautiful in fact that my Mum wouldn't let me leave the shop without her 'at least' putting a deposit down (thanks Mum).
My six year old niece proclaimed 'That's the one Laus, that. is. the. one'
It was double the budget - but worth it.

Thanks Em - very exciting!
Yours can't be far off - lots of luck!! xxx
oh wow, pictures please!!
also...where did you get yours? I was thinking of going to Pronuptia in Richmond but am nervous of having to buy something when I just want to try on to start with.
1 month 21 days - curse you google gadgets! I have to go up and get my stuff fitted next week which is superoso exciting. I must calm down, I'm annoying myself.
You don't have to buy anything - they know that you're going to shop around until you find the perfect dress. What they don't want you to do is fall in love with one in their shop and then go and have someone make up a cheap version...
I can recommend Confetti in Wokingham - they have a massive range, and were lovely to me when I bought my dress.
Laurie - it is bride etiquette to go over budget. The rules say so.
I've always thought the word 'Pronuptia' sounded like the name of some kind of old-fashioned contraception.
Um. Sorry.
Evie - I can't post piccies for fear of prying eyes (my fiance). My sis has some pics I will email to you ... ! Got it from a shop local to us, just wasn't expecting it. Berketex Brides are great (new store just opened in Richmond) and there's one on Oxford St too. Lots of luck - keep us posted.
Em - not long at all! You certainly must not calm down - it'll be over far too soon. Lots of love to both of you.
Thanks Minks (again)
RG - I did hear that you should at least double budget.. job done!
