Seriously, my pockets are always full of crap now. Dummy lids, tissue paper, kitchen roll, fluff and lo and behold - lettuce. I had a lettuce leaf in my pocket the other day.. just about sums up the past couple of months, lettuce. Lettuce in my pocket.

I did actually come back from Egypt and am OK in a kind of round, full-bellied way.

Life is trickling along and apart from the odd house renovation here and 6 full bags of tree cuttings and weeds there, I have been pretty much just taking it easy and enjoying my pregnancy.

The baby doesn't stop moving now - which I love (except in the middle of the night and with a full bladder). I can't remember if I told you I had the 20 week scan and all is good in there (I know I update most of you on Facebook... ;o)

Wedding plans coming along nicely - photographer and band now officially booked so now on to all the finer details.

And that's all I have to report right now - oh, except that I managed to wangle back stage passes for V Festival. I have only been backstage once, at Leeds, and the thought of this excites me BADLY. However, I will be very pregnant and unable to drink any booze and probably looking for a comfy seat for most of the weekend. Timing!

My dress

After trying on at least 8 wedding dresses and without any intention of choosing one or buying one, I left the bridal shop with instructions to come back in April for my first fitting. Lucky that they all come in a standard size 12!

It is so beautiful.

So beautiful in fact that my Mum wouldn't let me leave the shop without her 'at least' putting a deposit down (thanks Mum).

My six year old niece proclaimed 'That's the one Laus, that. is. the. one'

It was double the budget - but worth it.

Swimwear

Today I bought my first ever 'tankini' for my holiday next week - a sign of the times. We've also agreed on a wedding date and venue and have booked the church, all very exciting. I am confused about whether I should be trying on dresses now with small bump or wait until after?

Some exciting news: I fainted on the train the other day - I was in such a daze that I couldn't quite work out how I was standing on the platform of Hornsey station when I had previously been sitting down reading the metro. The Doc seems to think that the baby moved for the first time which can often lead to fainting - I did not know this. Anyway a kind lady helped me off the train (in Hornsey) so I was ok. Kinda. I had to then stand on a packed train all the way to Moorgate.

Now, have a great weekend peeps, now if I don't see you before next Thurs see you when I get back from Egypt!

Ecstatic that I won 4 tickets to the Heineken Cup Final on Sunday - Go WASPS!

I have mostly been running to the loo this weekend as a little someone appears to be squashing my bladder at the most inappropriate times.

My belly is growing, an odd sensation - particularly when I catch my reflection in the mirror (usually on the way to the loo) - this usually is followed by a 'oh yes, I am pregnant' moment.

I have my first appointment with my midwife on Wednesday and am dreading having a blood test. People find it hard to believe that a) this scares me and b) that I have never had one. Well I haven't needed one before. Scared.

I watched 'Adrift' on Saturday evening and despite being based upon true events, it really is a disturbing concept for a movie. I watched it but didn't really like it.

I caught some of Eurovision, ridiculous as per usual but I didn't get to see the UK entry, thankfully. I actually really liked the Irish song and it would have been so much better if the singer could actually, well, sing. Beautiful melody but it came last - we could have given them deux points too and we didn't.. boo to UK voters! ;o)

Anyway, enough jibba jabba - I have blueberries to eat!

I've been poorly. Considering I haven't had a sniff of morning sickness I didnt appreciate being hit by a bug and bed-bound for a couple of days, nasty.

Food

Was really looking forward to my lunch, really. Dreams of a cheese and tomato toastie that I have been having since approximately 2am this morning sourly turned into the reality of hot margherita wrap thing from Pret and it was disgusting. Horrid.

And so you can now find me picking at blueberries and supping on a Dr. Pepper Zero - as you can see my taste buds have matured with pregnancy. All I want is good old comfort food which usually contains cheese, and lots of it.

I am hoping tomorrow will be a green tea and oatcake day.

I'm continuing at the gym (after discussions with the Doc of course) and I am loving the 'you must listen to your body' advice. Nowadays it doesn't want to do much after 5 minutes, doesn't mind a bit of Aqua - but it regularly asks me to leave the gym early, demands rather.

Fabulous.
